Pfelton Sutton is a musician, filmmaker, and the creative force behind Pfesu Films. Originally from Atlanta and educated at Boston University’s School of the Arts, he spent years developing his quintet PSQ, becoming a fixture in the San Francisco jazz scene.
In 2003, he transitioned into cinema, writing, directing, and scoring his debut short Misconception (Miami Short Film Festival). Now based in Los Angeles, he uses Pfesu Films as a platform to write, direct, edit, and score original narratives. His filmography includes the Super 16mm drama The Driven and The Orb featuring Patrick Davis. Whether releasing albums like The Equation or editing a new visual project, he brings a jazz musician’s sense of timing and improvisation to every frame he shoots.
